Ah, the new season finally began at 9:05am on Saturday. At 9:06am we had our first goal when Muzz blasted one by sub goalie AK and it looked like another long season for AK. Who would know that the goals would be harder to come by than trying to get Fab off the court? John Sewie would score for Rainbow in the 2nd, but once again a Muzz blast put Midnight Club back on top. Sewie was had a great game, but had only the one goal to show for it. Then after one last great shift late in the game, he would watch from the bench as the team rallied for the win. "It's like dating a hot virgin for a year and not getting anything, then as soon as you break up, the next guy she dates gets all the sex," explained Sewie. As mentioned, it wasn't looking good for Rainbow Six as they trailed 2-1 with just over a minute left. But a nice play by rookie Mike Granger at the point kept the ball in at center. He then made a nice move toward the net and got a shot on Moth Balls. MB made the save, but Ray Khan was there to tap in the rebound with 1:11 left to tie the game at 2-2. We thought we were headed for the shootout, but Smack would come around the net and bank one in off the post with 15 seconds left, and the rest is history. "I don't think I've ever seen a goalie let up only 3 goals up here, and lose," admitted Muzz. "Anything can happen when I sub in," said Jay Alberts. "I was going to try and help the defense, but I was at the end of a 10 minute shift," said Fab. "I was trying to rest at center ice so I had enough energy for the shootout." Perhaps Muzz could "Tweak" the lines next week.
