Fresh off an asterisk Championship, Dan
Armstrong was maybe a bit too cocky, and his Ass-Ass-ins team was rocked
by Halo 11-6.
Jay Rizzo had his usual big game against
Rob McHugh scoring five easy goals.
But Connor Barnes' five goal game was
something that caught us all off guard. It had us stat keepers scratching
our heads to double check to see if Connor was really wearing number 19.
Last season's Union team could have used
five goals from Connor in the playoffs...
Moose 2.0 scored two goals in two minutes
in the 2nd period, then disappeared with the rest of the Recon offense.
It was 9-5 after two periods, and Brad's
Bunch would coast in the third to an 11-6 lead.
"Not having Murf was a big upgrade for us,"
admitted Brad. "But then again, with Rizzo and Martini, there's not many
guys left that will pass the ball like Murf will."
For Recon, the Ravi Patel-Jeff Lupien combo
continues to be a bigger bust than New Coke.
Perhaps E-11 can right the Recon ship next
week.
